Consider these 3 facts: 1) 90% of printing, mailing, and graphics companies are family-owned, with most under $10 million in annual revenue. 2) A large percentage were founded in the 1970s and 1980s, which means owners are at, or nearing retirement age. 3) Unlike as with the previous generation, very few printing companies are being passed down to the current next generation. Tomorrow from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., a highly informative session will feature actual case studies of successful—and not so successful—succession plans. Consider your next steps, as Mitch Evans from Graphic Arts Advisors shares his expertise from working with dozens of family owned printing companies in succession planning and transitions. This session is part of the GRAPH EXPO Seminar Series. Pair of Sessions at GRAPH EXPO 16 Poised to Energize Attendees By popular demand, John Foley Jr., CEO/CMO of interlinkONE, is slated to lead two highly-interactive presentations as a part of GRAPH EXPO 16’s Seminar Series in Orlando, FL. His fi rst session, “What’s Your Uber?”, will kick off GRAPH EXPO 16 on Sunday, September 25 from 1:30- 3:00 pm. The following day, Monday, Sept. 26 from 8:00-9:30 am, “Secrets to Social Media Generated Sales” will be co-led by Foley and interlinkONE’s Karen DeWolfe. “What’s Your Uber?” will share secrets regarding how companies can enrich and maximize their competitive edge in today’s evolving graphic communications industry. He will help leaders tap into their entrepreneurial mindset by identifying and leveraging promising business opportunities in order to establish a strong value proposition. He’ll also discuss strategies attendees can employ to better understand what current and prospective clients are saying about their business and the industry overall. Foley promises to include real world examples from other verticals to illustrate the points in the presentation. “What’s Your Uber?” is undoubtedly a can’t-miss seminar for leaders who are ready to move the success of their company forward. In Monday’s seminar, “Secrets to Social Media Generated Sales”, Foley and DeWolfe will examine social media’s role in the modern sales cycle. To help attendees master this concept, the pair will emphasize the difference between social marketing and social prospecting, including how to integrate the two strategies to fi nd qualifi ed leads. Additionally, they will explain why selecting the appropriate software platform is an imperative decision, and highlight stories of organizations who have successfully generated sales and increased their ROI by adding social media to their sales cycle. Commenting on the presentations Foley says, “I’m excited to speak at GRAPH EXPO again this year, it’s always an excellent event. With a new venue this year, I want to add to the excitement by leading extremely engaging and interactive presentations that focus on creating an innovative approach to the traditional business model, and helping businesses fi nd new ways to capitalize on developing trends and opportunities. The goal is to help leaders bring back to the offi ce the tools necessary to amplify the potential. I am confi dent that both my session and my presentation with Karen will bring attendees to their ‘ah-ha’ moments then give them the tools and resources needed to get back to business and stay relevant in this rapidly growing market.” Offi cial Show Daily | PrintingNews.com GRAPH EXPO 16 | September 25, 2016 | 49
