Xerox is changing all of that with its new Direct to Object Inkjet Printer. The Direct to Object Inkjet Printer from Xerox (Booth 1625)–a 2016 MUST SEE ’EMS award winner–creates a label-less, on-demand method of personalizing three-dimensional objects as large as one cubic foot. With a footprint of just 39x39", it supports a printable area up to 2.8x13" and prints on a wide variety of plastics, metals, ceramics, and glass–opening up the possibilities for plastic bottles and caps, clamshells, boxes, tins, shoes, bags, wrappers, and much more. This new innovation is faster and more cost-effective with a greater range of substrates than any other technology in the marketplace today. The inkjets are compatible with virtually any type of ink chemistry including solvent, aqueous, and UV inks, and can be operated at temperatures as high as 140°C, which enables jetting of specialized inks to meet demanding requirements. Xerox software ensures precise head-to-head registration and best in class color calibration. Additionally, the printer features a fl exible design for holders so that objects can be changed out easily. The architecture of the machine has been designed to enable scaling up for customers in a number of industries including print, packaging, retail, and manufacturing. Ready to see the Xerox Direct to Object Inkjet Printer in action? Be sure to stop by Xerox’s booth for a demonstration. 58 | September 27, 2016 | GRAPH EXPO 16 Offi cial Show Daily | PrintingNews.com
