Simplifying and Automating Print Production Management with HP PrintOS An open, secure and integrated platform for print production management, PrintOS is a cloud-based operating system ideal for print service providers (PSPs) of all segments and sizes for use with HP (Booth 1825) Indigo, PageWide Web Press, Scitex, and Latex digital printing technology. Featuring a suite of intuitive Webbased and mobile applications, PrintOS helps simplify and automate print production, enabling customers to start printing jobs faster and get more out of their HP presses and printers. Additionally, cloud connectivity allows customers to monitor print status remotely as well as track and improve production performance over time. Among others, PrintOS applications include: • Box, a cloud-based fi le exchange app—the only one of its kind optimized for print, which radically streamlines the process of receiving fi les, verifying their content and quickly moving them into production. Box simplifi es job onboarding through nonautomated nonlike channels like email and fi le transfer er services. Often, a disproportionate amount ount of time and effort are e invested in handling jobs jobs prior to production. By standardizing processes, ses, Box reduces upfront overhead, increasing capacity and improving profi tability. • Site Flow, which combines automated order submission, prepress and shop fl oor management capabilities to address the needs of PSPs serving the business-to-business and businessto ty. mbines automated Deciding business-to-consumer markets. The application allows PSPs to offer attractive costs and higher levels of service to fulfi ll hundreds, thousands or tens of thousands of individual, personalized print orders every day, including direct shipment to end customers. HP customers, including Schätzl Druck GmbH & Co. KG and IPS Ultraprint, have reinvented their production management with HP PrintOS. Deciding that a proprietary system would be too costly and time-consuming to develop and maintain, Schätzl Druck selected HP PrintOS Site Flow to maximize use of its new HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press without creating bottlenecks. The company had Site Flow up and running in two days, with customers connected and in operation in three to fi ve days–a process that would have previously taken months. Site Flow dramatically increased Schätzl Druck’s print volumes, accelerated its time-to-market and improved its margins. Similarly, HP Indigo customer IPS Ultraprint has grown its print-on-demand mand Site services by 40% each year with Site Flow. Before installing Site Flow, the the company operated a complex production management system that suited its its needs until the business began to grow rapidly. IPS Ultraprint fi rst implemented Site Flow in mid-December at the busiest time of the year to address demand from a major greeting card customer, and the company was able to smoothly transition to the new solution and meet all of its service commitments. PrintOS is currently available to HP Indigo and PageWide Web Press customers. Many apps will be available without charge to existing customers with a service contract, while certain apps will be subject to monthly subscription and usage charges. Service: WE ADD VALUE.
