Memjet Partners with Kao to Develop
Memjet has partnered with Kao Corporation
to develop the pigment-based inks used in
the Memjet’s new DuraLink inkjet printing
platform. Th is partnership brings together Memjet’s expertise in inkjet and ink formulation
and Kao’s expertise in encapsulated pigment dispersion technology to create a highly
stable ink that provides superior print quality and durability across a range of media.
DuraLink is Memjet’s groundbreaking new printing platform. It combines long-life printheads,
pigment ink and fl exible modules to give OEM partners a fast, easy way to develop
solutions for high-volume commercial, packaging and industrial printing markets.
Color-Logic Highlighted in Revised Security
Color-Logic is discussed as a primary security technique in the Second Edition of
Introduction to Security Printing, by Richard Warner and Dr. Richard Adams. Referencing
the new textbook, Mark Geeves, Color-Logic director of sales and marketing,
commented: “Warner and Adams are well known for their research in the security
printing fi eld, and t o have Color-Logic discussed at length in their book is both a privilege

Xerox and Fujifi lm’s North American Partner to
Expand Collective Inkjet Portfolios
Xerox and FUJIFILM North America Corporation’s Graphic Systems Division announced
a reseller agreement for Xerox to market and sell the Fujifi lm J Press 720S
in the U.S. and Canada.
Th e J Press 720S is a sheetfed inkjet press that has the quality and robustness of
an off set press as well as the versatility to handle short press runs. Th e J Press 720S
has a 29.5 inch x 20.9 inch sheet size and runs both coated and uncoated standard
off set stock, with full support for variable data and personalization.
According to InfoTrends, placements of B2 format digital printing devices will
grow at a CAGR of 17.4 percent from 2016 to 2021 in the U.S. and Western Europe.
Th rough this dealer agreement, Xerox will expand its industry-leading cut-sheet
portfolio and be part of the continuing growth in this segment.
