FTA checks in on SoCal
transit projects
@FTADOT
▶ The Federal Transit Administration
(FTA) took a field trip at the end of
November in order to visit transit
projects in southern California. The
region, FTA notes, is home to many
public transit agencies that are working
hard to relieve traffic and serve
riders, while expanding. FTA Acting
Administrator K. Jane Williams visited
Metrolink, L.A. Metro and capped the
visit by signing a $149-million Full
Funding Grant Agreement with OCTA
for the OC Streetcar project.

I just took a scooter
to a bus stop in a
cross-town pattern
that otherwise can’t
be served well by
public transit. Doing
so saved me a transfer
and probably about
25 minutes off of
my travel time.

So... can I put “always
takes off backpack
and moves to the back
or the bus” on my
resume? Because it’s
clearly not a skill that
all commuters have.
