Talgo Commences and Ramps Up
Overhaul Work in Milwaukee
Talgo received the fi rst vehicle from Los Angeles County Metropolitan
Transportation Authority in its Milwaukee facility on June 15, 2017.
On September 22, 2016, Metro awarded a contract to Talgo to improve
the performance of the Metro Red Line A650 HRVs by replacing and/or
overhauling critical vehicle systems and subsystems.
CCW Delivers Final Rehab
Buses to City of Cerritos
▶ Complete Coach Works made the fi nal
delivery of fi ve buses to FirstGroup PLC in
the city of Cerritos.
The 30-foot buses received complete
makeovers along with major component
replacements consisting of engines, transmissions,
suspension parts and more.

Kitsap Fast Ferries Inaugurates
Bremerton-Seattle Service
▶ Kitsap Transit began passenger ferry
service July 10 between Bremerton and
Seattle, Washington, a big milestone
after more than a decade of work. The
Kingston-Seattle service is slated to
begin next summer, Southworth-Seattle
in 2020.

HOP WILL allow transit riders in the
Portland, Oregon area to use one fare
system for all modes in the region. THE FIRST sailing from Bremerton
at 5:40 a.m. carried 78 passengers,
while the first sailing from Seattle at
6:15 a.m. had 69.
THE A650 HRV fleet consists of 37 A650 married pairs built by Breda Costruzioni
Ferroviarie between 1992 and 2000.
