The platform offers cloud-based proofing technology, making it possible to preview output on individual browsers, mobiles, and tablets. Additionally, Inspire R10 makes the compliance process easier by allowing users to generate a single PDF for print, email, mobile web, and tablet output with all navigation links. Extended Gamut Printing The Fiery digital front end (DFE) from EFI (Booth 1902) offers a new approach to color management by leveraging additional colors beyond CMYK (CMYK+) to expand the reproducible color gamut in a variety of digital workflows. EFI’s Fiery CMYK+ technology, which comes with the EFI Fiery FS200 Pro DFE platform, gives users the ability to apply the expanded gamut to all page objects, or use the gamut expanding colorant for spot-color objects only. CMYK+ is ideal for spot-color objects, and for color critical customers who want the most accurate match of brand colors and specific PANTONE colors. Fiery ImageViewer also allows users to view CMYK+ separations and make specific color adjustments, as well as save custom CMYK+ color curves as presets. High-Speed MFP The bizhub PRO C754e from Konica Minolta (Booth 1913) provides an easy start in economic, high quality color, light production printing. Users will have speeds up to 60 ppm in color and 75 ppm in B&W print/copy output, simple touch and-swipe operation, plus scalable options and up to 6,650-sheet paper capacity for high-volume applications. Ink for Ceramic Decoration EFI (Booth 1902) Cretacolor inks for digital inkjet ceramic tile printers are created to deliver maximum color intensity, chromatic range, color stability over time, and uniformity throughout the manufacturing process. The inks are available in eight colors: dark blue, golden yellow, yellow, black, pink, HT black, beige, and reddish brown. Users can also employ several special effects with the ink line using including white ink as well as inks that enable luster, matte, and glossy finishes. Extra Large Printers HP (Booth 1202) PageWide XL series Printers offer the fastest large format mono and color printing with up to 50% savings in total production costs. HP PageWide XL Printers are the first products introduced under the new HP PageWide sub-brand. Based on HP Page- Wide Technology, which currently powers HP Inkjet Web Presses, HP business printers, and will be scaled for upcoming HP 3D Multi Jet FusionTM printers, the new portfolio provides low operation costs driven by life-long printheads, high ink efficiency, and cloud-based support. Inserting System The Pitney Bowes (Booth 1239) Epic Inserting system is a high speed, multi-format solution that processes complex transaction mail with demonstrated integrity and high yield to simplify capacity planning, increase operational productivity, lower total cost of ownership, and improve return on investment. Featuring the ability to process letter mail at speeds up to 21,000 pieces per hour and flats up to 14,000 pieces per hour, the Epic helps providers move swiftly from job to job and from letters to flats in a single operator workcell delivering high productivity results. Job setup and changeover has been simplified, with 70% of the high touch steps either eliminated or automated. The user interface focused on maximizing operator productivity makes the system easy to operate. Combining end-to-end material control and real-time dynamic paper path corrections, it accurately tracks all pieces within a job, reducing spoilage and labor intensive job reconciliation requirements while maximizing system uptime. The modular platform supports integration with a wide range of modules including the Print+ Messenger for personalized full color envelope printing at speed. Inkjet Printers The new 24" Epson (Booth 841) SureColor P7000 and 44" SureColor P9000 printers are the worthy successors to the revered Epson Stylus Pro 900-Series. Designed for professional proofing and photographic applications, they incorporate Epson’s latest imaging technologies including an Epson PrecisionCore TFP printhead, Epson UltraChrome HDX 10- color pigmented ink set, and the all-new optional violet color for up to 99% Pantone Formula Guide color matching . Incorporating advanced media handling options, ranging from cut sheet to roll, and including plain paper, photographic media, fine art, and even 1.5 mm thick poster boards, the new Epson SureColor P-Series continues to redefine art in wide format aqueous imaging applications. Grand Format Estimating Avanti (Booth 654) Slingshot Grand Format Estimating Module leverages complex estimating algorithms to simplify the estimation and management of grand format jobs. The module covers the entire workflow: from estimating, job ticketing, purchasing, and inventory management through to scheduling, logistics, shipping, and billing. It takes into consideration all the possible options and unique requirements of grand format such as layouts (number across/number along), material requirements, edge sealing, grommet placement, ink coverage, square inch/feet calculations, complex kitting, mounting and laminating options, and substrate utilization to optimize your workflow. It can be implemented on a server or in the cloud; allowing access to the system from any device, at any time, from anywhere. This ensures the software is easy to deploy, easy to upgrade, and easy to use. Web-Based Workflow Solution Canon USA’s (Booth 1213) PRISMAdirect software is a web-based workflow solution that streamlines the entire production workflow for simplified job acquisition, reduced overhead, and faster turnaround time. It consists of two main components: the core order processing and management dashboard and the optional web-to-print front end. The optional web shop module provides print buyers with a 24/7-accessible order submission tool for both print and non-print items. An unlimited number of web storefronts can be fully customized to reflect the print provider’s or print buyers’ corporate identity. PRISMAdirect can be easily integrated into existing workflows utilizing standardized JDF/JMF interfaces. Wide Format Solution Enhancement The new Performance Package for the Xerox (Booth 613) IJP 2000 wide format printer combines a scanner, image quality management software, and FreeFlow Access Productivity tools to optimize image quality and provide new multifunction capabilities. The Performance Package runs on the IJP 2000’s Caldera GrandRIP+ with an intuitive user interface, so the workflow remains centralized and simple. The Performance Packages uses the Xerox 7742 Scan Solution, which has an optical scanning resolution of 1,200 dpi, with user selectable resolutions at 50 dpi increments between 100 and 1,200 dpi. Speeds range from as fast as 6"/152 millimeters per second for color to 13" /330 millimeters per second for blackand white. The maximum scanning width is 42"/1,067 millimeters, matching the maximum width of IJP 2000 media. The IJP 2000 prints as fast as 4,520 square feet/420 sqm per hour, producing high-quality color signs in as little as five seconds, 30'/9-meter banners in one minute and production runs of 200 prints in approximately 20 minutes, on media as wide as 42" /107 centimeters. With the Fotoba FHS42 Cutter running inline, the IJP2000 produces full-bleed and multi-up posters, banners, and signage, at those same speeds. Integrated and Automated Workflows The EFI (Booth 1902) Productivity Suite is a comprehensive portfolio of integrated, automated smart software delivered and supported as a Suite. The primary focus of the Productivity Suite is to help printing companies generate new profits from existing and new clients. It is available for three industry segments: • Enterprise commercial printing and publishing businesses • Enterprise label and packaging businesses • Mid-market commercial, digital, and hybrid printing businesses. Each segment has 15 or more certified workflows based on the product and process mix required. Analytic Platform Pitney Bowes (Booth 1239) is showcasing an industrial Internet analytics platform for the optimization of production inserting productivity. This mailing industry innovation extracts production level data from high volume inserters and moves it to an analytic platform in a secure cloud.
