Light Production Lineup Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) and Formx (Booth 2243) are unveiling the MX-M1055 and MX-M1205 document systems, complete with EFI’s (Booth 1902) latest Fiery DFE platform and Sharp’s 15.4" touchscreen display. Adding to the monochrome systems’ ease-of-use is the new paper catalog, which resides on the print engine and allows up to 1,000 paper entries, giving operators ultimate control when handling the specific characteristics of their preferred paper. Bringing together Sharp’s triple air-feed large capacity tray option with the comprehensive paper catalog ensures precise paper handling and excellent print results on a wide range of media, including coated, glossy, and textured papers. Paper Cutter Colter & Peterson (Booth 3625) is introducing its newest paper cutter. The Prism P115 is a 45" paper cutter features a new slotless table and is equipped with a Microcut 15" touch screen. Microcut is a computerized backgauge system with nearly 35,000 worldwide installations. It can improve productivity by as much as 50% and can be used with any brand paper cutter ranging in size from 20" to 150". 10-Roll Wall Rack ImageOne Impact (Booth 4441) is launching the MondoRaxx Jumbo, a 10-roll wall rack for any size print media or wrap films. The 10-roll wall rack holds full 50-yard rolls of print media, laminates, and more. This heavy duty aluminum stamped design is a proven solution for virtually all wall rack needs. Just add the desired length 1" diameter dowel or pipe and hang. To mount, select the location, use proper mounting hardware and wall mount type (lag bolts for stud or cement wall, etc.), bolt the racks in place, add desired length 1" diameter rods, dowels, or pipe and hang the rolls. Web-to-Print Solution Aleyant Pressero (Booth 439) is a cloudbased web-to-print SaaS PSPs use to create and manage storefronts. Storefront branding, URL, styling, product catalog, pricing, shipping, budget controls, payment, and approval options are customized by the PSP for print buyer needs. A “works with everyone” philosophy enables PSP’s to choose best of breed software that can communicate cooperatively within a larger prepress, production, and accounting eco-system. Pressero acts as the front-end, connecting other systems by API or via prepress software called Aleyant Automated Workflow Integrator (AWI). Other vendors can use the API to pull and push Aleyant Pressero server data. AWI is dedicated to auto-delivering storefront jobs with JDF and XML metadata files into a prepress hot-folder watched by other vendor systems. Wide-Format Color Printer The RICOH (Booth 1231) Pro L4160 is a wide format color printer capable of producing superior print quality and color matching for signs, banners, wraps, and more. Leveraging its eco-friendly, aqueous latex ink and outstanding seven-color printing, including orange, green, and white, users can print on clear, plastic, vinyl, textile, and backlit substrates. The printer’s aqueous latex inks are also toxin-free and odorless, eliminating the need for special ventilation equipment. It uses the RICOH Software RIP designed to simplify printing graphics-rich output. Users can deliver high-quality output up to 63" wide and as long as the roll being printed on. The icon-based interface allows customers to check settings and progress from the main screen. Die Cutter Shown for the first time in Xerox’s (Booth 613) booth, the UD-300 Die Cutter from Duplo USA provides a solution for producing custom-shaped pieces with faster job turnaround and minimal setup times. This offline die cutter can produce a variety of digital print and packaging products. Designed for use with flexible dies, it performs multiple cuts, slits, slit-scores, kiss cuts, perforations, and window punches for single or multiple-up pieces on a range of stocks up to 14x20" at 3,000 sheets per hour. Color Toner Printers KIP (Booth 2613) is spotlighting the KIP 800 Color Series Toner Printers, offering a solution for a range of wide format printing tasks that require the highest levels of quality. The system’s workflow provides powerful print control for any production environment from a range of print submission applications, cloud printing, scan and copy, variable data printing, and fully integrated stacking and folding. Workflow Automation Platform The Xerox (Booth 613) FreeFlow Core Cloud is an extension of the current Xerox FreeFlow Core workflow automation platform. Xerox installs, manages, and maintains the solution on behalf of customers. The system’s easy-to-use, browser-based interface allows users to drag-and-drop preprogrammed icons to quickly build robust workflows. Customers simply log into their dedicated system and start building and using existing workflows to automate their print processes. The software comes preconfigured with presets and workflows covering the most common preflight profiles, imposition templates, PDF optimization profiles, and image enhancement settings. Offline/In-Line Coater Harris & Bruno International (Booth 3205) is debuting ExcelCoat options of a Corona Treatment Unit and Duplexer.
