The dealers who have confirmed to date represent a total of $750 million in total revenue. The event will provide a 360-degree perspective for dealers about how they can leverage the many opportunities across the industrial space, addressing both finance and legal components essential for ultimate dealer success in this area. To that end, four key speakers will address the following topics: Frank G. Cannata’s “An Opportunity Gone Begging” presentation is identifying a very desirable opportunity for dealers by defining the industrial printer market for them along with speaking to the feasibility of dealers taking advantage of it. Frank Romano, Professor Emeritus, Rochester Institute of Technology, and world-renowned imaging authority is discussing future directions in his “The New Print” keynote presentation, including the broadening of the industry via a host of new substrates and game-changing inkjet technologies, as well as the expansion of wide format printing. Looking to the future of the industry, Romano sees “image(s) on everything.” Fred Carollo, VP, Office Products, Everbank Commercial Finance will speak to financing strategies, opportunities, and programs that will resonate with independent dealer business models. The real game changer is the advent of “smart packaging,” which allows the customer to directly interact with the product or provide crucial information regarding the condition of the product, both at the point of purchase and importantly, after they have left the store or the product has been delivered. To help guide attendees, Bohan will lead a discussion involving active and intelligent packaging, the latest innovations in the market, as well as where the market opportunities lie. Printing Industries of America will be at Booth 3802 with a rotating panel of experts, industry resources, and exciting giveaways. For a full schedule of Printing Industries of America seminars at GRAPH EXPO 15, visit printing.org/graphexpo. dealers and manufacturers and is universally recognized as the preeminent legal advocate for dealers.) “Industrial print represents the only real legitimate growth opportunity in print for our industry and GRAPH EXPO is the single most important forum where industrial print is at the forefront. This past year, we’ve seen tremendous momentum in the industrial imaging arena as major manufacturers of MFPs and digital presses who currently and effectively leverage the dealer channel—e.g., Canon, Konica Minolta, and RICOH—have introduced new high-volume products. The time is now for the independent dealer channel to expand out of the office and establish a foothold in the industrial space,” says Frank G. Cannata. Note while this is a vendor agnostic event, vendor representatives from the following companies will also be present to answer questions about their individual products or services and take dealers on individual tours of their perspective booths at GRAPH EXPO 15: • Canon U.S.A., Inc. (Booth 1213): Dennis Amorosano, Vice President and General Manager Marketing and Professional Services at Canon USA • Konica Minolta Business Solutions, Inc. (Booth 1913): Rick Taylor, President and COO • RICOH Americas Corp. (Booth 1231): John Fulena, Vice President, Production Printing Business Group • EFI (Electronics for Imaging, Inc.) The X-Rite eXact spectrophotometer with Scan Option is the recipient of the 2015 Printing Industries of America InterTech Technology Award for Innovative Excellence. Working in tandem, ExactLoop, and eXact Scan allow a press operator to monitor automatic adjustments to the ink keys on press, leading to predictable, repeatable color. At GRAPH EXPO 15, visitors can also learn about: • IntelliLoop, a full-featured closed-loop color control solution that works in conjunction with X-Rite’s IntelliTrax. Advanced features of IntelliLoop allow for reading ink key openings and sweeps immediately following scans, assuring effective key moves that get to color quickly. There is also a “roll-back” feature permitting key-openings and sweep settings from any previous scan to be automatically loaded. • IntelliSet, which leverages the digitization of color information included in the CIP data from prepress to automatically preset the ink keys, eliminating manual adjustments at the print console. • Rutherford is demonstrating how IntelliLoop and ExactLoop can work in sync with Alwan software suite-ColorHub, Print Standardizer, and Print Verifierensuring that printed files match G7 printing conditions in record time. 14 September 13, 2015 | GRAPH EXPO Official Show Daily | PrintingNews.com
