The HP Indigo 7800 Digital Press, HP Indigo WS6800 Digital Press, HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press, HP PageWide XL 8000 Printer, and HP Latex 3500 Printer all are available for in-booth demonstrations. The sheetfed HP Indigo 7800 Digital Press offers PSPs new capabilities, including printing directly on synthetic substrates and plastic cards, and a new color-management experience with an inline spectrophotometer. The digital press provides general commercial printers with simplified color management, improved productivity, and an expanded application range. The HP Indigo WS6800 Digital Press is a narrow-web printing solution for high-volume label and packaging production. The press increases capacity for digitally printed labels and flexible packaging by delivering the industry’s highest crossover point in narrow-web production versus analog for most pressure-sensitive label jobs. The HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press produces every commercial job with Indigo quality, substrate versatility, and production flexibility. This press supports the largest media range in the industry, compatible with more than 2,500 certified substrates. With its 29" format and built-in duplex mechanism, the press makes it possible for the first time to digitally print any size application, including pocket folders, six-page brochures, posters, and large lay-flat books. HP InkJet Web Press print samples are on display, demonstrating improved print quality enabled by High Definition Nozzle Architecture Technology (HDNA). HDNA for HP Inkjet Web Presses provides PSPs breakthrough print quality, versatility, reliability, and productivity. The HDNA printhead doubles the native print resolution of current HP inkjet printheads and supports dual drop weight per color for sharp text, fine lines, accurate skin tones, smooth gray and color transitions, and enhanced highlight and shadow detail. The booth also features print samples from the HP T1100 Color InkJet Web Press, a highspeed, high-volume, 110"-wide simplex inkjet web press ideal for pre-printing corrugated top liner. Currently in development by HP and KBA, this press will enable corrugators to combine many individual jobs together on a roll or across rolls for short, medium or long runs. Unlike traditional analog pre-print, every box can be different. The new HP PageWide XL 8000 Printer delivers the fastest large format mono and color printing with up to 50% savings in total production costs. Commercially available this month, the HP PageWide XL 8000 Printer enables reprographic houses, PSPs, enterprise central reprographic departments (CRDs), and print corners to produce computer-aided design (CAD) drawings and will open new business opportunities with geographic information system (GIS) maps, and point-of-sale applications. The HP PageWide XL 8000 Printer does the job of two printers in one at breakthrough speeds up to 60% faster than the fastest monochrome light-emitting diode (LED) printer. Ideal for standardized workflows, the new 126" HP Latex 3500 Printer handles high-volume, dedicated application production, boosting productivity and reducing production costs. With heavy-duty roll handling up to 660 pounds and 10-liter ink supplies, the printer enables more unattended operation, such as overnight printing. Additionally, dual roll split spindles offer easier, safer handling of oversized rolls; in-line slitters reduce bottlenecks in finishing; and built-in LED lights support on-the-fly proofing. HP “Discover” display areas in the booth highlight unique applications enabled by HP digital printing technology. HP also is hosting in-booth happy hours on Sunday and Monday from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.
