GraphExpo Show Daily Day 1

The search identified three solutions from RSA that could be integrated to meet his diverse set of challenges: M. I.S. Print, ODirect, and WebCRD. Since implementation, the print shop has seen vast savings, quicker turnaround times, and an overall more efficient printing process. In addition to demonstrations at the booth, GRAPH EXPO 15 attendees also can join RSA for daily in-plant receptions, including IPMA and the annual WebCRD User Group, in addition to in-plant seminars, including: In-Plants Make a Splash Monday, September 14 12:15 - 1:45 pm Room N426ab, North Hall, Level 4 The luncheon presentation by Howie Fenton, InfoTrends, is sponsored by IPMA. Fenton is joined by a panel of sponsors— Xerox (Booth 613), Konica Minolta (Booth 1913), RSA (Booth 231), and BCC Software (Booth 1849)—and their in-plant customers. The panel will discuss items such as inplant needs, justification, and relevance. This will be a very interactive panel with discussion time and questions posed to the audience. This luncheon is free to all in-plant professionals. First representative from vendor/supplier is complementary; additional registrants are $25 each. Introducing the newly redesigned mPOWER™ i-SERIES Check Out the Pavilion for In-Plant Print Providers Once again, the In-Plant Printing & Mailing Association as business cards on a wide array of print engines and front ends. These challenges and pressures were slowing production times and increasing costs for the firm and the five independent business units that fall under its banner. In addition, there were regular production jobs using legacy data streams that needed to be produced on much of the same equipment as day-to-day, on-demand documents. There were also the print management requirements for the more than 60 distributed copiers and printers in Oklahoma and other locations across the U.S. American Fidelity needed a solution that could meet current needs and was scalable as the company grew. “Our documents vary by state, the selling company and, in some cases, even the customer,” explains Phil Larson, AVP of Business Development at American Fidelity. “Many of these have to meet compliance requirements and always be available in their latest form, both now and far into the future. We produce these on a variety of equipment and we need to be sure they will print accurately The company also used a mix of offset and digital printing, spreading the work to multiple commercial print shops around the country as well as handling some internally. Costs were difficult to control. Delivery times were often out of synch with demand and could be measured in weeks. Realizing a zero-based inventory via digital printing was the best approach, Larson brought the majority of the work in-house and began a two-year search for the software tools that would relieve the simultaneous pressures of inventory control, time, and print management. YOU ASKED, WE LISTENED! • New and improved design • Enhanced performance and stability • Industrial grade quality • New network and rip automated features SEE OUR PRINTER IN ACTION AT SEPT. 13–16 | CHICAGO, IL | BOOTH # 660 ↘ anajet.com ↘ 855.863.1638 (IPMA) is sponsoring the In-Plant Place at GRAPH EXPO 15. Print workflow developer Rochester Software Associates (RSA) (Booth 231) is one prominent in-plant exhibitor featured this week. Last year, RSA received Xerox’s (Booth 613) Production Software Partner of the Year award for a record 15th time. The firm is running live demos of version 10 of its WebCRD web-to-print software, which is designed for corporate in-plants, as well as its QDirect output manager solution, and ReadyPrint, a new makeready solution. In April, RSA rolled out V.9.5 of WebCRD, which provides an enhanced user experience, automates production, reduces touches, and decreases the time it takes for administrative and reporting tasks. Features such as an updated booklet workflow—a very common inplant print job—benefit end users and the print center with easier, more intuitive ordering and simpler production. Other key features include: real-time job printing status, refreshed images and branding choices; increased multi-currency support; and streamlined hardcopy submission to WebCRD Production with RSA’s Scan to Print Center solution, QDirect.SCAN from QDirect.SCAN-supported MFPs. Insurance firm reaps benefits American Fidelity, an insurance company in Oklahoma City, OK, was tasked with the challenge of producing thousands of forms, marketing materials, publications, and a myriad of essentials such on any device.” INg’s Annual Fall Workshop Tells Attendees What to Look for at IGRAPH EXPO 15 nvesting in productive technology and cultivating a strong sales force are obvious ways that printing companies can grow their businesses. However, developing connections with other successful service providers also offers a distinct business advantage when it comes to making business decisions. The Imaging Network Group (INg) is a well-established networking association created exclusively for the print and electronic service provider industry. INg’s member companies comprise some of the most visible and successful mid-sized, high-volume print and electronic service providers and direct mail companies. INg offers a prime opportunity to interface with top industry peers across the nation, and tap into a vibrant network of industry creativity, experience, and information where members discuss key business and technical issues facing their companies and share best practices on running and growing their businesses. Friday night, INg’s annual Fall Workshop kicked off with an evening reception at the Chicago Fairmont Hotel, followed by an all-day workshop on Saturday. Highlights of the workshop included speaker and author Cary Sherburne of Sherburne & Associates, who spoke about successful case studies on production inkjet; a session on recruiting key executives with Bob Lindeman of The Overture Group; member-led sessions on marketing inkjet and workflow efficiencies; and a “vision panel” from several of INg’s vendor partners. The Fall Workshop culminated Saturday night with a Partner Appreciation Dinner at Petterino’s Restaurant. ING’s vendor partners include Xerox (Booth 613), Riso (Booth 2607), Canon (Booth 1213), Bell and Howell (Booth 1839), Pitney Bowes (Booth 1239), Transformations/Uluro (Booth 2063), Solimar (Booth 641), GMC (Booth 4051), Crawford Technologies (Booth 344), and Sensible Technologies (Booth 1662). The Fall Workshop enabled attendees to get a “pre-briefing” on new printing and related technologies, which they can then investigate on the show floor during GRAPH EXPO 15. The Fall Workshop was an invitation-only event for mid-sized, high volume print, mail, and electronic service providers. For more information on joining INg, visit www.imagingnetworkgroup. org.
