Hybrid Printer Mutoh America, Inc. (Booth 4241) is enhancing its packaging and signage printer line with the UV-LED ValueJet 1626UH - 64" hybrid printer. It is priced at $49,995 MSRP. It prints on a variety of roll-fed and rigid substrates up to a half inch thick using CMYK + white and varnish ink, adding texture to prints. Production Management System Discovery Enterprise from Lake Imaging Systems (Booth 2263) is a centralized production management system that extends throughout an entire production facility. It is capable of tracking every stage of a document life cycle from digital composition through all stages of physical processing until delivery to the postal authority. It provides a tracking and reporting engine for Discovery Multiscan’s quality inspection and integrity tools and maintains control of reported defects throughout the complete production process. Cloud-Based Marketing Platform RICOH’s (Booth 1231) 1to1 Create Marketing Services is a cloud-based subscription service aimed to help small to medium sized printers create, launch, track, manage, modify, and optimize turnkey cross-media marketing campaigns. It offers printers a website portal equipped with all the tools, templates, and tips needed to execute ROI-generating marketing campaigns. 1to1 Create Marketing Services has a vertical focus that spans across industries such as healthcare, education, and retail. Its customizable templates include persuasive copy, options for email, pURLS, and QR codes and enables customers to choose from direct mail postcards, tri-fold brochures, flyers, counter cards, landing pages, and email blasts. On Demand Die Cutter See the Duplo (Booth 1926) UD-300 Die Cutter produce a variety of custom-shaped applications on demand such as bottle hangars, envelopes, and scalloped edge invitations. Designed for use with flexible dies, the UD-300 performs multiple cuts, slits, slit-scores, kiss cuts, perforations, and new window punches on a range of paper stock up to 14x20" at 3,000 sheets per hour. Press Registration Software ProImage (Booth 545) is showcasing NewsWay Press Register, its latest press register software that processes TIFF separations and corrects for registration issues without having to touch or modify the press. It is able to resize, rotate, mirror, and shift the TIFF separations at precise increments to compensate for press mis-registration and web growth. NewsWay Press Register comes with a digital microscope to accurately measure the amount of scaling required for perfect registration. Benefits of NewsWay Press Register include faster makeready (register in less than 500 copies); press stops reduced due to registration miscues; extended press parts life span; and reduced mechanical adjustment time. Available in four printer sizes from 32" to 64" wide, this series uses fast-drying eco-solvent inks and are ideal for locations with limited space. The integrated cut functionality enables short-run or custom production of labels, decals, T-shirt transfers, vehicle markings, package prototypes, and more in a single unit. The SS21 eco-solvent ink set includes ten colors including Silver, which can be used to create metallic color effects. Dye-sublimation inks are also available. Layered PDF Versioning is improved, making versioned printing more flexible, reliable, and repeatable than ever. Visual Estimating Solution EFI (Booth 1902) is showcasing iQuote with its new capabilities including integration with EFI Monarch ERP software for automated estimating, planning, and customer relationship management tasks. The iQuote portion of the workflow utilizes smart algorithms to turn a simple specification into a detailed production plan, automating the selection of the best path based on an evaluation of all of a printing company’s equipment, processes, and resources. The system’s integrated planning capability produces and sends the final production plan to EFI PrintFlow software for dynamic scheduling, EFI Auto Count software for production management, and data collection and the Monarch ERP for tracking and cost analysis. Print Inspection System The latest Axode (Booth 1961) technology, 1080NEO, is capable of identifying defects like threads on lamination, very small registration, or print quality defects at speeds of up to 2,000 feet per minute.
